There are two basic constructions of webbing. Flat is a solid weave, with seatbelts and most backpack straps being common examples. Tubular consists of a flattened tube, and is commonly used in climbing and industrial applications.
Hemp is good for the environment as it reduces the need for pesticides, herbicides, fertiliser, water, energy and land when compared with other fibres.
As a fibre it is hollow, strong and durable. It also has anti-bacterial properties and is breathable.
Hemp fabric is better than using conventional cotton or synthetic fabrics.
